FAQs

How can I select Platinum Medical Solution as my MRO to help process my claim?

Once you have logged your claim with the Official Injury Claim portal, you will be presented with a choice of medical experts or agencies whom you can instruct to undertake your medical. Once you have selected Platinum Medical Solutions, you can contact us to book your appointment.

Why do I have to attend a medical appointment?

The purpose of the medical appointment is to obtain a medical report, which will detail the injuries you suffered. This will form the medical evidence which is required to settle the personal injury element of your claim.

Do I have to pay for the appointment?

No – the cost of your appointment is covered by the insurance company.

How long do the appointments take?

Appointments usually last approximately 15 minutes but can take slightly longer if you have multiple or complex injuries as a result of your accident.

What do I need to take with me to the appointment?

You are required to take at least one form of Photo ID to your appointment. This will be checked by the medical expert at the beginning of your appointment, in order to verify your identity.

How quickly will I get the report?

Once we have received the report from the medical expert, we will upload it onto the OIC portal where you can view it.

What if I do not agree with the contents of the report?

If there are any factual errors within the report, you can send the report back to us via the OIC portal. We will then forward it onto the medical expert to make any necessary factual amendments.
